Jim's feedback:
"“South Africa” is not hyphenated, and “Boers” is capitalized. The use of a serial comma in a list is required by many formats, and hence is good practice. “Apartheid” should be capitalized when referring specifically to South Africa. The entire expression “twenty-six year old” should be hyphenated. You use the verb “has” when referring to Mandela, as if he is alive; you should write “had.” “African National Congress” should be uniformly capitalized. You should use an em dash (—) and not a regular dash to break up a sentence, and do not precede it with a comma. “Police” is a plural term, so we do not write “police was prepared.” Your essay is informative, but it suffers from numerous grammatical issues. You should run a grammar checker and proofread your work. Note also that you repeat a sentence."
