There are almost three sides to this debate One is either for againstor does not care at all about this issue This debate is about the useof performance enhancement drugs in sports especially in baseball JoePosnanski in his article entitled Cheating and Cheating argues hiscase against the use of such drugs in baseball He puts the blame on thesportsmen On the other hand William Molle in his article We thepublic place the best athletes on pedestals tells a different storyHe feels that the blame should not be placed on the drug users Itshould be placed on the fans These is a group of people who put a lotof pressure on the sportsmen to perform outstandingly and then judgethem harshly when they do not This essay establishes that arguing foror against the use of these drugs is not relevant The relevant thing isto acknowledge that there is a problem and it should be handledaccordingly Posnanski argues that the use of performance enhancement drugs inbaseball started when the game started This author wrote this essay inorder to respond to Pete Hamill who feels that the use of such drugs inthis game did not start until a few years ago In order to strike theneeded attention Posnanski states that there never really was abeautiful game called baseball Posnanski He later goes ahead andmentions a number of earlier baseball players who have been associatedwith the abuse of amphetamine steroids or other performanceenhancement drugs However he does not seem to appreciate thecircumstances leading to such actions It is relevant to acknowledgethat it all comes down to a matter of making decisions However it isnot as easy as it is said Molle on the other hand seems to appreciate the circumstances leadingto the use of such drugs He openly states that the pressure put onthese baseball players and other sportsmen by their fans is incredibleFriends family members and managerscoaches lead them to make suchdecisions In other words Molle seems to
