Madi persuaded me to something that changed my life join basketball It exposed me to one of my favorite hobbies and new experiences As people change so do their personalities In result of this statement I decided to join basketball Instead of limiting my options of just participating in my favorite sport soccer When I think of it now it sounds foolish that I even thought twice about joining basketball Not only did it expose me to new opportunities it exposed me to my new basketball friends When you join after-school activities you are more likely to have more friends and have a more positive vibe I could see all of the people that I called classmates They shuffled in one by one and suddenly disappeared As I walked into my fifth grade class at Alpine Elementary my two best friends Madi and Jessie closed me inYou need to join basketball Rachel they both demandedAs I responded I thought of all my options the pros and cons and what my parents would thinkI replied okay I will think about it and tell you laterAfterwards I remember thinking about what I saw on TV how they talked about a thrilling story of how a middle school girl realized that she loved something that she had never discovered before As I walked through the doors of my house I smell the startling smell of my soccer bag In my bag lies sweat closed in for weeks have not been washed for months I acquire that it is soccer season in the house It smells like walking into an elephants habitat you will always remember the smell of my soccer bag I wait until my parents stumble in to tell them about my experience at school They tell me that is all up to me and that I know what is the right decision to make I coincide with my sister about what I should do She tells
