Murder has become a very common word to hear in todays world we hear it on the radio on the television and see it in the morning paper Why is it so common It is so common because we live in a world with increasing amounts of violence in all mediums The reason for this is peoples desire for power Violence is the illegal use of physical force to injure or damage a person or their property Power is any person thing body or nation having authority or influence There are different kinds of power which we seek some seek riches some seek honor others knowledge and some seek political power We look at these as goals and there are different ways to attain them one could work hard and get it or one could cheat steal or kill to get it and the one of the things that separates the things is morals Some people have morals and exercise them to prevent themselves from doing bad things and others choose to ignore morals That is what leads to violence people who choose not to do the right thing but they choose to do things the easier way Is power used to corrupt or is corruption used to obtain power This essay will show that there is a relationship between the two and that is violence is used to obtain power and power is abused to do violent things Violence and power are connected and it has happened throughout most of our existence with little done about it we could have prevented a lot of horrible things in our past but we chose to stand by and wait Mankinds greed and envy is the main cause of this problem it is human nature that causes us to act this way Political power is a corrupting force that leads us to violence one way or another we always want more upon more and destroy
