Beth's feedback:
"You're off to a good start, here! Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson are two prominent leaders in 18th century American History, and you list your points about them clearly. Additionally, your formatting looks consistent, though you will want to make sure your references (especially in-text) are formatted according to APA style if that is what is required for your submission. For improvement suggestions, this essay lacks an introduction or conclusion, which leads the reader to think this is more of a list and less of an essay. Also, there are only two leaders listed here, which caused me to wonder if your essay was not yet finished. Finally, the references cited are inconsistent with the text: a) Bidinotto is listed as an in-text citation, but there is no matching reference in the references list; and b) a Wikipedia article about James Madison is in the references list (but listed as Thomas Madison?), but Madison is not mentioned in this essay at all (another clue that this may not yet be a complete work). Overall feedback: I recommend going back and getting all of your references and notes synced up and added correctly to this essay and adding an introduction and conclusion. When that's done, I recommend reviewing APA formatting and conducting a full edit/proofread stage to fix usage and spelling errors. "
