I am researching the importance of vaccination proportions because I want to find out whether all people should be required to be vaccinated in order to help my reader understand why they should or shouldnt get vaccines Through a process called herd immunity if enough of a population is vaccinated an outbreak of a dangerous disease or infection will be prevented Therefore it is crucial that populations reach this proportion because it will further prevent the creating of an epidemic I have found several sources from scholarly medical journals in order to provide reliable and accurate facts and information about my topic I will use these sources to support my argument and to counter the opinions of my oppositionNikkels Nikkels-Tassoudji and Pirard produced a case report on seven severe reactions to immunization shots and then describe how certain immunizations may lead to physical harm This relates to my opposing view because it specifically details how dangerous the side effects of receiving immunizations can be This paper specifically links several boosters to potential physical reactions for example they demonstrate that the Hepatitis A and B vaccination may lead to swelling pain and rashes of the skin I will counter this information by introducing the minimal chances of this happening especially since the frequency has been steadily declining over time This piece helps me answer my question by demonstrating the publics opinion on whether they feel the need to contribute to the herd immunity or simply reap the benefits of it This journal piece discusses the results of a nation-wide survey of United States males over the age of 18 The survey asked participants how likely they were to get vaccinated if enough people around them had been vaccinated The results showed that 61 of respondents would still get their vaccine I will utilize this information in my argument to show how the people stand
