The pursuit of happiness is what I like to call human instinct Although some people are lazier and less careful then others we as humans strive for the better things in life as well as to push forward the capabilities of man To me the pursuit of happiness stands out immensely in these chapters With the war over and abolition taking effect the people of America continued to pave the way for the road we now travel down For example when the African Americans of the time period dreamed of simply having a chance to own their own land work for their own money and prove that they were equal to their neighboring white community they were pursuing that dream of happier and equal lives On the other end of the rope mainly white southerners put their defence on the field for many reasons Im sure but obviously and evidently for reasons such as the anger farmers had towards losing their free labor racism and the feeling that the happiness they were pursuing was being threatened With the question of what to do next things such as opinions arguments threats lies truths and suggestions became our tools for reform and began to wage their own political battle towards economic rehabIn a zoomed out perspective this stage of economic rehab would consist of the things the average person learns from during their life such as adaptation trial and error and sometimes going out on a limb for what you desire Learning from the success as well as the failure and sometimes not learning at all Its these common things that flow through our everyday lives that fueled our political proofreading As our political leaders considered and reconsidered the citizens who expressed their ideas as well as their own personal ideals they began to make changes when and where they saw fit in order to pursue the things they believed would grant our citizens this happiness that
