Canada Vs The United States of America The Ongoing Battle Racism rszm The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others Discrimination or prejudice based on race Racism has always been apart of life someone will always have a prejudice against another if hate is still being allowed to exist When people come together from all over the world and can be at peace the world will be a better place People that live in Canada today are from all over the globe Canada is now known as the Multicultural Mosaic we are known as French-Canadian Japanese-Canadian etc Our country is very welcoming to immigrants coming in and we treat them well Many people do not know about Canadas past People try to forget the past if something was upsetting it is better to forget it Just as Canada wants to forget parts of its past so does The United States of America The US is a very powerful country and it is also know for being very patriotic Just as Canada is known as the mosaic the US is known as the melting pot and this is both a good and bad thing Because of the melting pot more people are accepted just as Americans are not for example seen as only Arabic The bad thing about this system is that people keep their heritage within their family and others do not get to experience their culture America was not always like this though The US had done some horrific things to the people of its country Both in their own ways Canada and the United States have treated at one point of time their citizens or just people in their country without respect In the past Canada did make mistakes in excepting other races and cultures but I believe that Canada was much
