Ill never forget that one Christmas morning waking up wondering if I got the number one thing I put on my Christmas list It was my eighth Christmas and the only thing I really wanted underneath the Christmas tree was a little fluffy brown puppy I remember the morning perfectly it was snowing harder than I have seen and it was also one of the coldest days I have ever encountered I woke up before everyone else and ran down my hallway to see all the perfectly and colorful presents under the tree The next thing I did what almost every kid does on Christmas morning check to see if Santa ate the candy cane and snowman shaped cookies that I had left out for him the night before which he did As my mom dad and little brother finally came crawling out of their rooms my excitement grew stronger knowing that with each minute I was closer to finding out if I got my fluffy surprise As my mom passed out each of red and green wrapped boxes I became so antsy Minutes turned into hours as I watched each of my family members slowly unwrap their gifts and look at it in amazement like they never seen a piece of clothing before I became to notice that my little brother was opening a lot more presents then I was and started to think to myself that my parents were saving the best for last Finally I was watching my mom open the very last package under the Christmas tree which was from me and my brother an oversized poster bored with a bunch of scribbles supposedly showing our love towards her I sat there on the cold hardwood floor looking over at my little brother seeing how amused he was with all his new toys Apparently that was quite a big distraction for me because all of sudden I noticed the front door
