"Your review shows your understanding of the book, and you do a superb job of integrating quoted material into your essay. But since your work is supposed to be a book review, be mindful of keeping your focus on Ward as an author and the merits of his book rather than on Jackson and how he came to be the symbol of an age. It would be good to mention, for example, the scope of the book in your summary of it. Does Ward cover the entirety of Jackson's life, and if not, what periods are actually covered? Do you think Ward's reliance on the perceptions of elites and the general public allows him to craft a credible biography? You've got a good handle on writing conventions, but a final edit to check for minor errors is suggested. Remember that words such as "nation" and "nature" should not be capitalized and that a space should always be inserted between a closing quotation mark and an opening parenthesis."
