Instead of attending the Saturday Salon I decided to go to the Latin Letters event on Friday night I thought the topic of discussion seemed interesting and I would love to hear from someone who has worked at the Vatican because I could only imagine the amazing and uplifting experiences that took place there Unfortunately Father Reginald did not spend very much time talking about his experience at the Vatican His lecture was much more based on trying to teach the audience Latin and the history of the Latin Language I did find that interesting but it was not what I expected at all I have never taken a Latin class before so I was completely lost and did not understand the jokes he was making Though I did not follow this presentation very well I enjoyed how passionate and well-educated Father Reginald was at his age I was inspired to also live a fruitful life and I hope to be just as passionate about what I am doing when I am his age During this presentation I had a hard time focusing and understanding the material Father Reginald was talking about I occasionally found myself not listening to the presentation and I had a hard time resisting from playing a game on my phone Then I realized this was a great life lesson for me There are times in class when I get lost or I do not understand the new topic the teacher brought up and I instantly just want to check out and not pay attention to what is going on Instead of giving up I tell myself that being confused is a good thing The best part of being confused is when you get the Oh I get it now feeling It shows that having perseverance and pushing yourself to stay focused can actually be rewarding in the end A great example for that is my Psychology Statistics class We were
