The general subject matter that is discussed in this article is allowing illegal immigrants to receive public education regardless of no documentation or status In my opinion this raises a lot of issues and is an ongoing issue today Even though we are allowing illegal immigrants to attend public schools some people may think this encourages illegal immigration and it is unfair due to a decreasing amount of funding for books computers and other supplies thats needed in order to better education And lets not forget the alarming cutbacks of teachers allowing a teacher to teach more than 25 students at a time per classroom The point that the author is making is that no matter what the situation may be all children legal or not should be allowed to receive an education It is not the childrens fault that their parents are here illegal and they should not be punished for that This article discusses a very touchy situation about educating illegal immigrants While all these cuts are being made taxpayers are also questioning who are paying for the illegal immigrants education Schools are funded by their enrollment The larger the number of students the more funds the school receives Americans are questioning why should our children citizens have to suffer or receive a lesser education if there are lack of resources available Why are we still funding illegal immigrants education when our own is being compromised This knowledge relates to what Im learning in class through education politics It teaches us how the federal government has played a consistent role in education politics I have also learned that it is the Civil Rights Act of 1964 has played a very critical role in the Department of Education that allows illegal immigrants their right to receive education In my opinion no child should be denied an education regardless of any situation
