Bridget's feedback:
"You are off to a good start, and the reader understands how and why you've chosen this character to describe. Focus your next steps on organization and clarity, keeping your reader in mind. This can range from small steps like telling the reader the title of the "text" (the film) you will be discussing in the introduction to higher-order concerns like how you structure a paragraph and using transitions and signposting to help guide the reader from one thought to the next.
Part of the project of communicating clearly with your audience is clarifying who your audience is. This includes deciding how familiar they are with the text (in this case, the plot of the movie). For example, the last sentence of para. 3 assumes the reader understands what plot point you are referencing; you might still want to give some reminders to help them recall the plot. Your prompt will often have clues about how to define your audience.
Another key to clarity is proper mechanics. Proofread to make sure that errors don't get in the way of the reader's comprehension, including dropped words, misspellings, typos, and sentence boundary issues."
