Starbucks uses my approach A happy employee is a good employee Employees who like and care about the company they work for are more likely to do a better job The work lifepersonal life program shows employees that Starbucks cares about the employees happiness in all areas of life They feel that if an employee is happy in everything outside of work the employee will work harder and better Outside influences on emotions do have a big impact on work behavior Many times employees have other things than work on their minds Starbucks tried to cut down on these distractions The BEAN STOCK program gives employees discounted stock purchase plans and stock options This has a double effect that is a win-win situation for both Starbucks and the employees This saves the employee money and puts money back into Starbucks The training approach Starbucks uses is crucial to the success of the employees The class sessions assure the employees know what they are supposed to do and how they are supposed to do it before they go onto the floor The employees feel motivated because they are more confident and dont feel like they are getting thrown into something that they cant handle Employees also get training beyond coffee serving Leadership diversity and career development training shows the employee that Starbucks cares more about just the present Starbucks wants good employees and managers for the future hopefully with Starbucks
