Please provide a statement that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve You can type directly into the box or you can paste text from another source 250-650 wordsId love to transfer because its always been a dream of mine to go to school in California I was born in Scotland and lived there for most of my childhood Even though I was still young I never imagined that Id have the opportunity to go to college in the US and on top of that I never thought Id be able to pursue my dreams I understand that it sounds cheesy and generic but having the opportunity to apply to renowned programs is incredible When I lived in Texas and I was applying to schools I decided not apply to California universities because I didnt like the idea of being so far away from my family and out of state tuition was monstrous I applied and was accepted to several Texas schools as a business major but as time grew on I started to ask myself if business was going to make me happy Would it fulfill my soul Acting has always been a passion of mine but I always felt uncertain about making it a career It wasnt until my theatre friends began auditioning for programs that I genuinely started to regret my decision Soon after applications had closed my dad announced that his company wanted him to move out to San Jose I was extremely disappointed because one of the reasons I decided to go to school in Texas was due to the proximity to my family and now they were leaving After some serious thought and discussions with my parents I decided to leave behind some amazing schools to come to California with my family and attend community college for a year or two There I would not only study extremely hard in order to transfer
