Undoubtedly stress is a given Stress is a state of tension that is created when an individual responds to pressures that come from work family or other external sources as well as those that are internally generated from self-imposed demands obligations and self-criticism Keegan 2001 Dealing with stress is only a matter of when why and how Four major categories are used to identify different types of stress as well as two subcategories The duration and intensity of stress varies from person to person however stress can be altered-based by ones actions and physical well-being Additionally coping with stress can be accomplished in many different ways whether seeking medical assistance or self applied stress relief In short todays society encompasses many different stressors which can affect how a person thinks acts and responds to everyday situations There are at least four types of stressors that we deal with on a daily basis They are physicochemical social biological and mental stressors These four stressors work together as a team to cause each of us unwarranted stress Stress is such an automatic process and reaction for humans that throughout ones daily activities most people may not even be aware of what types of stress they are submitting to their bodies A physicochemical stressor is classified as a stressor that occurs outside our controllable environment such as pollution noise and temperature to name a few There are also social stressors which include but are not limited to economic strains or job loss human interaction marital struggles and possibly even problems with co-associates Biological stress is also a major player that makes a difference on how our minds feel and react Some examples of bio-stress are trauma or bodily injury having a stomach ache running a fever as well as many others On top of having biological stressors we also experience mental stressors Some types of mental stress may accommodate test taking condition of a current mental state and
