What if the one thing that was promised to help you to guarantee your success and to provide you with a bright future actually ended up costing you your dreams Im talking about a college education and this is the situation 37 million college graduates in the United States are facing Nazari Huff Post Crippled with huge amounts of student loans even those who were able to secure well-paying jobs are struggling to stay afloat often working multiple jobs to help ends meet Not only are many graduates finding it difficult to get by on a daily basis but graduates such as Daniel Habtemariam a medical statistician say I know for myself and as well as for many of my peers we have put off major life decisions put off having children putting off buying a house My peers dont have enough revenue they dont have enough income they dont have enough security and enough sort of confidence in their future income PBS NewsHour For reasons like this the student loan debt crisis is not only taking a huge toll on the personal lives of many Americans but on the economy as well As the problem continues to grow it becomes more and more critical to find a solution so we can help ensure the well being of every one in the nation student or not So just how bad is the problem As of now student loan debt in the United States has reached a staggering 1 trillion Thats more than the entire national credit card debt the total spending on the US Public Education System and even the entire national debt of Greece To make matters worse that number is growing at an annual rate of 17 and is projected to reach an astounding 16 746 662 229 and 808 by the year 2030 Credit Sesame With student loan debt burdening 1 in 5 Americans and the cost of higher education rising while
