Teenage Breakups are Inevitable Once in every girls lifetime she finds one perfect person with whom she falls hopelessly in love and lives happily ever after That concept is a mere fallacy Yes people do have common interests and therefore develop romantic involvements but it is basic common sense that many of these relationships are more like The Real World rather than Romeo and Juliet Couples do break up and there are many reasons why ranging from cheating to abuse to parental disapproval In teenage relationships a major reason why breakups are unavoidable is the lack of parental approval When the parent of one of the teenagers in the relationship forbids the relationship to continue one of two things happens The lovers are separated and eventually learn to move on with their lives or the couple will rebel against the parents wishes A heartbreaking example of what can go wrong with adolescents is the story of Christian Dalvia 14 and Maryling Flores 13 who were sweethearts Flores mother forbade them to see each other In early November 1995 the young couple met one last time Standing at the edge of a Florida canal they joined hands and jumped 15 feet into the cold murky water to their deaths Probably many other reasons for their deaths existed but ultimately a third partys involvement their parents was the cause of the drastic measures taken by the couple When disagreement occurs between parents and their children over the issue of dating the resolution or lack there of can be unsettling and heartbreak often occurs Extreme depression due to heartbreak is considered likely to lead to physical violence towards oneself by social psychologists Teens seem to jump into their relationships too quickly and often mistake infatuation for love This misunderstanding of love is what causes teenage couples to take extreme actions or breakup Another very serious reason leading to breakups is abuse When
