One of the most controversial questions of all time is abortion Is it morally acceptable to have an abortion There are two main views on abortion pro-life and pro-choice Someone who is pro-life believes that from the time of conception the fetus is alive They believe that the fetus deserves to live and to kill it would be murder Someone who is pro-choice believes that the decision to abort a pregnancy is that of the mother and no one has the right to interfere Pro-choice activists feel life does not begin at conception but at birth They believe that the baby inside is the mothers property Many have also argued over whether abortions should be legal or not I agree that abortion IS the Womans decision but I think more women should think it through more thoroughly and keep their babies rather than aborting them Worldwide about 26 million women obtain legal abortions each year while an additional 20 million abortions are obtained illegally in countries where it is prohibited by law Thats over 46 million abortions every year Worldwide the lifetime average is about one abortion per woman In 1967 abortion was made legal in the United States and this made Canada also consider making abortion legal By 1969 abortions were legal under certain conditions in Canada and by 1991 abortion was made legal and treated like any other medical procedure In Canada it is a serious crime to kill a baby after it is born So why should it be legal to kill babies before they are born I believe that life is the most beautiful gift from God and all babies which are conceived have the right to live no matter what the circumstances are If abortion is not murder then what is How is it different to kill a baby after it is born than to kill an unborn child What about rape and incest Why should a woman who has
