Bridget's feedback:
"This is a focused essay that advances the thesis well, arriving at a persuasive conclusion through evidence and clear argumentation. The higher-order concerns are in great shape, leaving a few polishing-up tasks as you head into the home stretch. Among these will be proofreading, particularly for typos like dropped words; for purposes of clarity and style, make sure to italicize the play name to differentiate from the character. I also spot, as I read, occasional informal or overly general diction that can be polished up for more impactful and purposeful claims: for example, "amazing" in the first sentence is merely superlative without explaining what is amazing. More precision here can help the reader understand what makes the struggle so profound and can forecast the thesis and paper's focus. Words like astonishing or astounding, for example, will imply something shocking or beyond the pale, intriguing is suggestive of analysis, famous or infamous will convey Shakespeare's position in the canon, ironic will reflect your points about acting and the play, etc."
