On May 22 1960 Chile experienced the worlds largest earthquake With a magnitude of 83 More than 2000 people in Chile were killed What made this natural disaster even deadlier Was that a career in on the coast of Chile Closing seismic waves and tsunamis To hit To Hawaii Japan and a small part of the united west coast Besides the major death and injury tolls that these countries faced They all faced serious economic problems Which added up to nearly 680000000 Due to the earthquake The decision auction was heaviest in the cities of Concepcion Valdivia and Puerto Montt Adding to the already severe damage massive landslides violence will take your options and extensive dislocations of the land surfaced also plagued the land of Chile which was in terrible condition due to the earthquakes actual strike and seismic sea waves The first shock that Chile felt was on May 21st at 1002 am This shock caused a severe amount of casualties but not as much as the shock on May 22nd at 711 pm All together the earthquakes that occurred over the two days caused an astonishing 3 Billion in property damage across all four affected countries as well as a government estimated 2 million people left homeless
