Iva's feedback:
"You do a good job of picking out specific quotes that support the main claim you make. However, they are often hastily integrated, sometimes standing as their own sentence. You could address this by formatting your longer quotes as signal phrase, quote, explanation of quote's significance. This format would serve to directly connect the quotes you use with your surrounding analysis and make for a more cohesive response. Your response could additionally by strengthened by adding an introduction. While the reader can piece together the gist of the story from your paragraph, opening with an introduction that gives the story's title, author, and brief summary would help your reader more clearly make sense of your response. Furthermore, I noticed a lot of repetition of "the best barber in town" within your response. While I agree that this is a point you should emphasize, you do not necessarily have to repeat it every few sentences. For example, in the tenth sentence ("On the other hand, if he were to kill the captain..."), you could remove the phrase "as the 'best barber in town.'" This would improve the flow of the sentence without impacting meaning. Finally, as you are only quoting from one text, you can put your citations at the ends of your sentences rather than right after the quotes they relate to when they are embedded within a sentence."
