Seventy-five people died and many of them were children It was all due to the lack of safety at the stadium where the game was taking place The soccer game unfortunately had to be cancelled This is the bad side of soccer as it pertains to the substandard stadiums in the poor countries where soccer is most popular It is in poor Mexico where soccer is them most popular sport and it may even be the most popular sport in the world But why do people love this simple sport so much Soccer in Mexico reflects the peoples values and wishes concerning the success of a family after battling a great opponent Mexican culture places a great emphasis on people to work as a family as do soccer teams and when the team reaches its goal the whole family can rejoice in happiness and satisfaction The official game of soccer allows for a maximum of eleven players on each team However there can only be a minimum of seven players on either team for the game to continue The rules of the game stress that the team consist of many people to be eligible for a game When the world cup is at its final game families gather around the television set to watch the greatest game that is only played every four years Unlike the American Super Bowl that is stereotypically mostly viewed by men every type of person including women men and children alike watch the game of soccer The players act as a family when they are on the field One player cannot carry out a goal by himself even if he is the best soccer player in the world The players have to constantly keep passing the ball to one another in order to advance efficiently towards their opponents goal If one player tries to do everything by himself the eleven opponents from the other team will overwhelm him The total
