Imagination is more important than knowledge Albert Einstein That was said by arguably the greatest thinker of the twentieth century Albert Einstein He was a renown physicist who brought us Emc2 and who won the Nobel Prize As you will find out he has also succeeded in many different aspects of his life Albert Einstein was born on March 14 1879 in Ulm Germany He was the first child of Herman and Pauline Einstein Herman was the owner of an electrical shop failure followed Herman His stores never succeeded A few years after Albert was born Herman and Pauline had another child Marie Alberts family helped him get an education during hard times Einstein started his education slow but ended on a good note Albert went to a Catholic grade school even though he was Jewish His family sent him there because the school was closer and cheaper than any other school In elementary school and junior high Albert did not do well At one point his parents believed he may be retarded Early in high school he still wasnt doing well so he dropped out at age fifteen Albert ended up going back at seventeen but not before taking the entrance exam at the Swiss National Polytechnic School He failed the exam but after two more years of high school he passed Einstein was once quoted as saying Teaching should be such that what is offered is perceived as a valuable gift and not as a hard duty Albert Einstein Alberts childhood was not always the easiest When Albert was young he got moved around a lot From Ulm Germany to Munich Germany to Milan Italy and ending up in Arrau Switzerland All this moving was mostly caused by his fathers failing business Young Albert taught himself algebra and calculus at age thirteen but he still didnt succeed in school He was also interested in physics and he enjoyed playing his violin His childhood
