"It is clear that you’ve done your research on the topic, and you talk about how addiction has affected Ireland in a thoughtful manner. Moreover, you’re good about citing outside sources. It would be helpful to the reader, though, if you made it clear in your introduction that you’re going to be discussing both alcohol and drug abuse. As is, the reader may be surprised and somewhat confused by your transition into drug abuse since you spend the first part of your paper talking about alcohol abuse exclusively. Also, be careful about using quotes that only discuss drug abuse to make arguments about alcohol and drug abuse. Terms such as “alcohol” and “colonization” should not be capitalized in the middle of a sentence while “Catholic” should be consistently capitalized. There are problems with showing the possessive form of a word (e.g., “Ireland’s relationship” and “society’s growing”). Review is needed to fix spacing errors between words, between words and punctuation marks, and between sentences. Cutting long paragraphs into new ones that are about half a page long at most would make the work easier to read."
