"You've done a good job of capturing the overall feeling of The Midnight Zoo. It would be a good idea to give the reader some context before discussing the events or setting of the story. For instance, you mention Marin without mentioning what specifically happened to him and leave your reader to try to fill in the blanks. The paragraph about symbolism seems to focus more on imagery than actual symbolism. The destroyed town is not a symbol of the effects of war; it is itself an effect of war. Consider expanding your conclusion to reinforce some of the ideas you've raised throughout the essay."
