The Effectiveness of Citizen Participation in Environmental Initiatives

In this literature review, a student looks at research that has been done on the topic of citizen participation in environmental initiatives. The student argues that all the studies included demonstrate that citizens do promote sustainable practices but that their ability to influence politics is limited. "Your analysis shows that you understand the content of the different studies you're discussing, and you transition from one study's findings to another's results very well. However, although you share a lot of meaningful content, most of your paragraphs are very long and difficult to read through. While you don't have to break your paragraphs up by study, you should create a number of smaller paragraphs to give the reader more time to digest your analysis. There is also more work to be done in terms of formatting. For example, remember that with a direct quote, a page number should be included in your citation along with the author's last name and the work's year of publication. You don't have many errors with writing conventions, but there are multiple places where you're missing end punctuation."
