Bridget's feedback:
"What a great opportunity to interview someone who lived through history! The detail about people doubting her motives and presence is really powerful. In para. 3, it isn't always clear if information is coming from your interviewee or your historical research. I recommend a bit of regrouping, such as moving "She recalls..." to later in the paragraph rather than in the middle of the historical overview information. Checking your style guide for using citations will also provide tools for keeping the sources and material straight for the reader.
Another comment I have is to proofread. Awkward phrasing or mechanics errors occasionally get in the way of clarity and meaning. A polished final piece not only expresses ethos, it ensures the reader isn't distracted away from the task of following your ideas and discussion.
Finally, I recommend streamlining the first two paragraphs (consider fusing them into a single paragraph and revising, or even cutting the first paragraph). This will get the reader to the introduction of "stories from survivors" sooner, allowing you to establish the purpose and focus earlier."
