As my mom left in the ambulance I thought to myself Why dont they put the sirens on They did not realize how much pain she was going through I came home from school after having what seemed like a regular day when I heard my mother scream I found my mom on her bed Crying she stuttered I cant move Akku My sister and I followed the ambulance When we arrived at the emergency room the swinging doors had closed behind the gurney cutting us off from our mom The closed doors felt like a weight on my chest reminding me of the harness that strapped me in my first roller coaster with my mother As my heart pounded and my teeth chattered I looked at my mom whose eyes were sparkling with glee Mommy Im going to die With a disbelieving grin she answered Sometimes it is exciting to be petrified The roller coaster jolted and began its long climb to the top of the first and steepest hill The creaking and moaning of the roller coaster reminded me of something out of a horror movie Gradually the speed increased and we raced through the roller coaster My mom had the time of her life She was just like another kid My heart was thumping loud and clear as we neared the end of the ride The ride was over the harness was lifted up and we were free As my moms harness was released it took a longer time But this was only a memory The gurney opened and my sister and I went to see our mom She was in the Emergency Room and on pain medication She was without vitality and depressed When we walked into her room she started to cry My mom praised me and said If you werent there for me my back probably wouldve been worse I probably would have to get surgery Tears were overflowing
