Bridget's feedback:
"You retell the story elements in an energetic manner that shows your work and interest in the text. The vast majority of the essay, however, is devoted to plot summary, which seems like a missed opportunity when we look at your first paragraph and last two paragraphs, where most of the analysis takes place. I encourage you to distil the summary as much as possible so the reader can move efficiently through those details and arrive more quickly at the analysis. To do this, consider what details are necessary, what can be trimmed, and also look at ways to combine or fuse sentences to increase the pace.
To model this, let's combine the current 2nd and 3rd paragraphs and trim the fat: Agamemnon, the king of Argos, led the Greeks against the Trojans because he was angry that Paris of Troy had stolen Helen, the wife of Agamemnon's brother, Menelaus, king of Sparta. Among the many who joined Agamemnon in this was Achilles, the son of the sea nymph Thesis and the man feared most by the Trojans. He was called the world's greatest warrior whose only weakness was his heel."
