Probably one of the most loved and hated classes in high schools and schools of all ages for a matter of fact is physical education One of the reasons it may be so disliked is because students just want to sit around instead of getting out and being active Another may be because students do not want to put themselves out in the open for fear of failure Students who can express themselves through athletics will not only prep their bodies for a better lifestyle but they can also better their minds If a student can get out of the classroom for about an hour a day they can get their minds off of schoolwork and also have more confidence There should be more physical education in schools because it teaches valuable skills leads to a healthier lifestyle and it could even have money incentivesWhile some children may be shy or fear that they will not be as good as most other kids in their class physical education helps forge skills that will be prove valuable later in life If a child is afraid of failure in front of their classmates it could help in breaking the ice to realize failure is a part of life Physical education helps to forge skills and character that can help later in an adult environment or in the work force they attend The activities and challenges that students are put through in physical education will also help in forming mutual respect for one another later down the road Playing team sports helps the child learn valuable skills like teamwork and character building that most will experience in real world jobsMost schools today do not require physical education in high school after the student receives the required credits to graduate This can prove harmful in so many ways leading to obesity lack of work ethic and not preparing the
