In this essay I want to explore the importance of Lady Macbeth in a play Macbeth written by Shakespeare Lady Macbeth is mentally strong woman and her good and bad qualities form her personality during the play She as one of the main characters has not only caused all the troubles in Macbeths life but also helped him out in difficult situationsBut nevertheless as a result she had to sacrifice her life for this Even her death was a crucial moment for Macbeth his wife has gone so has the power on his peopleStrong character and ambitious temper of Lady Macbeth prompted her husband to reveal all his desires of being King and gave rise to the committing of murder Her support meant a lot for Macbeth therefore he took heed of what she said and followed the instruction Bear welcome in youre your eyeYour hand your tongue look like the innocent flowerBut be the serpent undertLady Macbeth excelled her spouse in confidence and certainty of success so took the situation over control in order to help him The persistence in her talk made Macbeth realized that the murder is the only chance he could make his desire come true get power and control But still Lady Macbeth belongs to gentle sex thus she is not that strong and evil as she thinks she is The fact that she was not ready to come up against an obstacle represents her female debility to the audienceHe could not miss em Had he not resembledMy father as he slept I had donetI suggest that the gesture of her weakness was just an excuse from being directly connected to the murder itself She didnt want to be blamed if something would go wrong and therefore she left everything on MacbethLady Macbeth is ambitious for Macbeth but Macbeth is only ambitious for himself This nights great business into my dispatchWhich shall to all our nights and days to comeGive
