Bridget's feedback:
"This piece presents an engaging blend of personal and descriptive writing. The reader is encouraged to check out the work by the enthusiasm of your approach and the ethos you develop over the course of the essay. The body paragraphs describing each movement are a good example of balancing detail and broader claims, pairing the technical description with the effect on the listener. To wrap up work with this essay, I recommend a careful proofread to catch a few errors or moments of awkward diction that impact clarity. I also wonder if the point about the music fading into the background should be saved for toward the end of the essay, as part of a broader discussion of how and where you listen to the music; in its current position in the second paragraph, it follows on the heels of the objection to the labels of "too light" or "no meaning" in the introduction, which might cause reader whiplash."
