Violence is an ancient strategy used to kill damage or hurt someone In modern society violence has been phased out as it is no longer a socially acceptable way to obtain goals Many wonder is it ever understandable to revert back to certain primal instincts of violence Martin Luther King Jr would say no if the question was presented His belief in peace was represented through his actions and in his I Have a Dream speech Thus violence is never justified on the grounds that it is damaging to the next generation does not send a clear message and it is a liability to all forms of progressionA childhood engulfed in violence is damaging to the next generation For example violence psychologically destroys the mind of a person In Liberia during the First Civil War there was one warlord Joshua Blahyi AKA General Butt Naked whom slayed nearly 20000 Liberians He achieved his goals by enlisting young children in his mercenary unit essentially he surrounded children in a world of violence Years later when the civil war ends and these child solders returned to society the child solders could not break their violent phycology As civilians with violent minds they believed that violence was the only key to success in any situation Years later Blahyi converted to Christianity and renounced his wicked ways On the record Blahyi specifically said Once violence as a seed has been sown into a child its very hard for the child to come out of it The Cannibal Warlords of Liberia Violence corrodes the mind of a child creating the daunting task of a violent child trying to adjust back to society King said one day right here in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers I have a Dream 5 This unity can only be obtained through peace the world must
