Cliques in high school have always been an issue no matter what decade in history These days in almost every school there are the popular kids the punks the nerds and the druggies Although some teens have the advantage of going to a school where everyone gets along Summit is definitely not one of those schools The popular group in school include the kids who are well-known take part in sexual activity take part in recreational drugs wear nice and expensive clothes or whatever is in style and have up-to-date cars The people who usually are members of this group arent shy are very non-original act nice around people they know and talk behind their backs when theyre not around Many people do not like these youngsters and do not agree with what they are all about but in someway they are still categorized as popular The punks are also known as the druggies although some of these punk rockers do not take part in recreational drugs its just another stereotype These days it seems that people call themselves punk when all they wear are spiked belts but still listen to Britney Spears Being punk is all about being rebellious and listening to artists that categorize as punk music and dont brag about being a so-called punk but just being unique Although the nerd group has slowed down over the years it appears that being a so-called nerd is now cool They dont get beat up these days but take part in having splendid grades and often spend their time joining clubs on Star Wars etc They are usually fairly smart minors and have nice personalities Many teens belong to cliques that appear in most high schools but there are quite a few who do not belong to a specific group Other than the examples that I have given you there are many more groups that are seen in other high schools
