The Weimar Republic was created during a time full of chaos violence and unstable economy Thats why it faced an enormous number of issues since the beginning The main three problems the Weimar Republic faced were the Treaty of Versalles the great inflation in 1923 when the economic collapsed and the constitution In the Treaty of Versalles one of the point said that Germany has to pay vast reparations for causing the World War I At the beginning Germany was paying but then in 1920s the Allies had an argument with Germany about it It all started in the year 1922 when Germany refused to pay any longer Then in 1923 the French and Belgian armies invaded Ruhr the industrial area in Germany to make them pay The result was that Germany wanted to fight the occupation and later on the Dawes Plan in which Germany agreed to pay reparations in return for a large US loan and France had to promise that they will never use force against Germany to make them pay reparations and they will leave the Ruhr area It seemed like it was just the beginning of the Germans battle against the Treaty of Versalles If somebody would discover their plans get rid of the Treaty earlier maybe they would be able to stop Hitler from ripping the Treaty of Versalles and change the history Another issue of the Republic was the economic instability In 1918 to 1923 the German mark fell inflation rose In 1920 it was worth 10 per cent of its 1914 value In 1923 the 1914 mark was worth 2500 paper marks The prices of meal rose and fell every single minute or even second The German government blamed the inflation on the Treaty because they had to pay those reparations They were making lots of money that was almost worthless People were watching their pension fading what caused the civilian chaos One of the main disadvantages
