Bridget's feedback:
"This is a deep engagement with the text that shows purpose and focus. The discussion progresses according to a clear internal logic, and the overall sense is of good control of the material. The conclusion makes several claims (or accusations) against the author that will need to be explored with a bit more precision to explain your delineation between author and narrator: "the author gets personally involved..." either states the obvious -- that is, that the author wrote the book -- or is advancing a specific critical framework; similarly the final sentence (manipulates, arrogantly, complicity) opens up an interesting point about immortalization that should be firmed up in those final moments.
As a quick and final note, I am not sure the Annabel Leigh passage need be quoted at such length."
