Jenn's feedback:
"Your paper is off to a good start, and with just a little effort put into each graded aspect of the paper, you will significantly improve it. First, the content of your essay is excellent. You have supported all the points you are trying to make with citations and aligned the content with your introduction. I advise that when you use direct quotes, you try not to use a signal phrase to introduce them, though. Next, the organization of your paper needs to be worked on. The essay needs to start with a clear introduction that ends with a concise thesis statement. The introduction should include general, not specific, background information about your topic, and the thesis statement should outline the particular aspects of the topic you intend to cover. The body of the paper should then align with the thesis statement. When you write the conclusion, it should summarize the main topics you've covered in the document's body and relate them to the thesis statement. This will not only make it more transparent what the purpose of your paper is but will also show the readers that you are focused on that purpose throughout the entirety of your paper. Finally, the formatting of your essay is off to an excellent start. The main formatting issues revolve around the in-text citations and references. The in-text citations have spacing issues, and the references have inconsistent punctuation and capitalization. Last are writing conventions. While, overall, the paper is well-written, occasional grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure errors need to be resolved."
