Being a machine operator Before I obtained my job here I had worked at several other different jobs Some of them were perfect for me like being a cashier at a small gas station a job that only required sitting down and talking to different people and a cooker at Fried Chicken Deluxe at Berry Street The other jobs I had were dreadful like serving in a school cafeteria selling books at in the campus bookstores and being a clerk in a school library However the hardest job I ever had in my life so far was being a machine operator This job frustrated me because it requires high analytical mind physically challenging unreasonable pay and worst of all the harmful environment plus an indolent boss This job demands a great amount of energy and patience During this semester I have to go to work whenever I do not have class so it forced me to work on my assignments during the weekend or to do them at work Moreover I was also responsible for preparing material for next shift This job is really time consuming because all of these materials and tools are stored in the building about a quarter mile away therefore I need to drive a fork lift all the way to the storage building to get materials and tools Sometimes the other workers would help me to get all the necessary materials and accessories to the machine before I was there In addition I am also responsible for handling the tool on the machine because each project uses different kinds of tool If I make a mistake the product comes out will be bad so I need to read programs blueprints and calculate the dimensions before I do anything Besides selecting tool is confusing because the large numbers of too ls look almost the same Therefore I have to do my perform my job accurately and constantly Moreover the measurement
