Playing a sport is always a big commitment and requires a lot of timeeffort and patience when I was in third grade i had to make a decisionshould play travel soccer or not I knew the responsibility was greatergoing from peewees to travel and I had to decide if I was ready to takeon that challenge Choosing yes to the decision of playing travel soccerwas one of the most important decisions of my life The tryouts were long and exhausting The competition was greater thanI have ever seen I a cocky energetic eight year old running into thetryouts was now a worrisome unconfident boy walking back to my moms carComing in the first day day I I honestly thought making the team wasgoing to be easy but quickly realized I was being very naive For therest of the tryouts I knew I was going to have to work if I wanted anychance at making the team As the days went on I felt that i had a realgood chance at making the team The final tryout had come and at the endI had to wait at home for a phone call from the coach to tell me if imade the team or not To this day I can not remember a time where theclock would move so slow as I anxiously waited for the phone to ringThere were a few false alarms where my grandma and friends of my parentswould call each time I jumped out of my seat only to soon find out whoit was Finally the coach had called he explained to me how I had madethe team and my stomach dropped I nearly lost my breath It was easilythe paramount accomplishment that far in my life and i couldnt wait toget startedThe team democratically voted our name to be the Wizards I was nowapart of the Smithtown Wizards We were practicing four days a week andhad at least
