The Ottoman Empire became the largest empire after the Byzantine Empire collapsed It began in 1300s soon separated into different Turkish tribes and is known to be a lasting empire in history The Ottoman Empire was also referred as the Ottoman state also the leader of the Ottoman state was the Sultan In order for the empire to have power and strength they had a military The first ruler was Osman I who ruled from 1299-1326 and established the empire in northern Anatolia Therefore the Ottoman Empire soon became to emerge to be stronger with their successful leaders The empire began after the Seljuk Turk Empire broke up Their main goal was only to expand and conquer land Osman I Orkhan and Murad I was the first emperors to expand the empire successfully One of their early capitals Bursa collapsed in 1326 The empire expanded through European and Middle Eastern states It was too believed that other empires were unorganized and did not have strong military to expand that greatly like the Ottoman EmpireThe Ottoman Empire only grew due to how strong and powerful their military became They were based on technological advancements and organizing strategies Also would hand select their military soldiers from birth and train them how to fight Their first quest was in the 1300s trying to take over regions In the end the military began to improve their skills and try to conquer other countriesOsman I was the first to rule the Ottoman Empire at first it was named the Byzantine Empire until it started to decline After he died his successors began to expand the empire through war alliance and purchasing the territory They nearly conquered all of Anatolia and Europe The empire lasted through till the 19th century going to war against Britain which led them to crash In the end today the country is called Turkey and no one is fighting over for
