The current Criminal Justice regulates the procedures taken by legalpersonnel determines the guilt of the accused and decides onappropriate punishment that would satisfy victims of the crime and thepublic The criminal justice system maintains order in the society andmakes sure that citizens are satisfied but these satisfactions are onlypresent on surface of the society as Criminal Justice is created forlawyers by lawyers Department of Justice RestorativeThe victims ofthe crime suffer from tremendous damages and when they cannot recoverfrom them it leads to an unstable society However the victim of thecrime is not only the person directly affected by the crime the parentsof the victim will suffer from psychological damages considering thattheir child was harmed parents of offenders will also suffer frompsychological damage considering that their child is a criminal and itis partially their fault and co-workers and colleagues of victims andoffenders are also all effected in a negative way as their corporationwill suffer from inefficiencies that come from absence of an individualworker There have been 2131131 Criminal Code violations in all overCanada which is actually 110000 less than the total number ofviolations in 2010 Crimes As the Crime rate is decreasing it isclear that the current Criminal Justice System is improving The fact isthat Canadian government found a way to make criminals change theirways let victims get back to society in a healthy state and alsoprovide an appropriate sentencing that satisfies societal concern asdeterrence denunciation and retribution Restorative Justice Programwas first used back in 1974 involving a young offenders case ValinasMarta these programs are originated from the circles that theAboriginal people held to resolve the dilemmas they encountered HillGary However not all the faces that Restorative Justice are positiveas it is voluntary which gives some offenders a chance to escape theresponsibility to escape the punishment by participating and not changetheir ways of living and go back to criminal rode This system alsogives offenders that participate in the programs lighter sentences andthe pressure
