The successes and failures of the League all came and depended from the so-called covenant of the treaty Their goal was to maintain countrys co-operation peace and security The League of Nations was very successful in many different ways in the beginning of 1920s Since after from the damage of WWI sewages were damaged malaria and many other diseases were one of the great problems in Europe at this period of time The League of Nations investigated in fighting diseases such as malaria and typhus They also shut down 3 big Swiss pharmaceutical firms that sold drugs In addition the League of Nation freed 200000 slaves mostly in Africa and Burma and also built refuge camps for homeless people from the cause of WWI But they made big mistakes that diminished the leagues reputations The two mistakes are the actions in Corfu Bulgaria In August 1923 on the Greek side of the border five Italian surveyors mapping the Greek-Albanian frontier were killed and an Italian General was killed while he was doing work for the League Mussolini was furious He planned to invade Greece While Greece wasnt paying attention Mussolini invaded Corfu and island that lies at the Greek cost This action done by Italy was completely off the track from the principles of the League Then Greece asked the League to help The League had a big meeting and wanted to condemn Mussolini and ordered to pay Greece for damage But Mussolini ignored and reveled saying that the Greece started by killing their men Instead the great powers told Greece to apologize and pay up the damage done Then the Italians left the Greek property In Bulgaria 1925 the Greeks invaded Bulgaria by Greek soldiers killed during a skirmish on the Greek and Bulgarian border In matter of fact Bulgaria asked the League for help The League met and the Security Council met and they decided to condemn Greece and ordered them to
