Millions of people are exposed to thousands of advertisements each day Every kind of media contains one form of advertisement or another One of the most effective method of advertising is through television Television advertising has visual appeal and can be used to convey a mood or image for a brand as exciting and interesting which in fact may be dull and boring Because of their flashy depiction and catchy slogans products are made out to be better than what they are Advertisements are a way for corporations to get their message across of why they are better than everyone else This fierce competition follows the notion of Survival of the fittest Because of this human beings of all types are bombarded with advertisements constantly The mantra of advertisements is that products can fill the void in ones life They make people think that even though they may have good lives they can make it better by purchasing excessive or extravagant items The goal of an advertiser is to plant a seed in peoples minds Once the seed is planted it keeps on growing and growing until they do something about it The following factors are likely to affect the attention span of a viewers thoughts as they watch an advertisement the product involved the personal level at which the product is involved and the advertisement itself The product involved has to be appealing and sound useful enough to be sold The second factor is how will the purchase of the product affect a person personally The more people feel attached to a product the more they will end up buying it The third factor the advertisement factor is the most important one This factor can make the product involved feel personal The lighting the sound effects the camera angel the diction all come together to portray the product as something everyone should have It affects people at a personal level targeting their subconscious and
