In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet young and in love Romeo blinded byMercutios death makes the mistake to avenge his friend His actionsare not justified in a Christians eyes Murder neither in spite of oron purpose is praised or considered to be justified in people createdin Gods image Even though Romeo was doing what he thought to have beenmorally correct by avenging Mercutio and killing Tybalt we cannotlook at this as something to be justified The sixth of the TenCommandments says You shall not murder Those our the words of ourLord and Savior Jesus Christ The commandment does not leaveconditions meaning our Lord will not accept murder in any way shapeor form No exceptions Therefore Romeos murder could not have beenjustified in the eyes of any person who believes in the Commandmentswhether they are truly Christian or not The issue of murder is broughtup multiple times in the Bible therefore as a believer of Christ it iseasy to say Tybalts murder is not justified in the eyes of God It isour duty as Christians to portray our selves as Christ-like no matterthe emotional toll The Lord has a plan for everyone and if he waspresent at the time of the duel he would have helped Romeo recognizethat he was doing wrong even though it may have seemed right to avengehis friend Mercutio The word of God should ooze from a Christianspores they should be searching for people to share the gospel and helppeople who are doing wrong even if they dont listen Those who oftendont listen are usually troubled with other problems or challenges intheir lives If that is the case let them find light in the LordSimrell 1
