Sooner or later people begin to understand that love is more then versus on valentines and romance in the movies They begin to know that love is all around here and now real and true the most important thing in their lives For love is the creator of the fondest memories and the foundation of their tender dreams Love is a promise that is always kept a fortune that can never be spent a seed that can flourish in the most unlikely of places This radiance never fades and this mysterious and magical joy is the greatest treasure of all The one only known by those who love Throughout life we search for this love that makes people feel whole Even while this pursuit of love takes place in the real life literature and art also have told tales of love through the ages These paintings and novels have come very familiar with the theme of passionate versus rational love that even the people in true life yearn to have The battle between passionate and rational love has become a present theme in literature in art and influences the way we view ourselves and our lives The theme of passionate love versus rational has played a key role in literature throughout the ages For example in the well known novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte the main characters of Catherine Edgar and Heathcliff exhibit this theme extremely well Catherine is in love with Heathcliff who also feels the same about her Edgar also has deep feelings for Catherine She must decide which man she will be with Heathcliff while his feeling may be true is a poor man with nothing to offer her but his heart Edgar on the other hand is a wealthier man who can provide her with whatever she will need In light of this Catherine decides to marry Edgar so she will be taken care of and she decides she will
