My Favorite Church By Jeremy Demery The Steeple is my favorite church although some people wouldnt consider the Steeple an ordinary church I have spent many memorable times at this church however I have only attended night services which usually last until at least 200 AM in the morning when it closes This church really isnt a church anymore though it is now the home of a man named Kevin Clement Kevin bought this church in the eighties and turned it into his home and his business His business isnt quite the business you would think would be in an old church though After a priest de-blessed the church it was converted into the Steeple Bar The Steeple Bar is a very interesting place As you pull drive down the gravel roads of orient you pull up to an old white building that badly needs a paint job You can see the cross on top of the steeple and the clock above the swinging doors that says 830 There are beer signs and other entertaining signs that cover up some of the exterior Up the cracked cement stairs and through the swinging doors you see empty beer cases and kegs from the night before and then you come to another set of swinging doors As you open this set Kevin greets you and if youre a regular he usually gives you some grief You respond back and take a seat at the wooden bar stools The first thing everyone notices when they look around is the signature of various people on the walls It has been a tradition since the beginning of the bar to write your name on the wall somewhere in the bar The bar made from oak trees with a scuffed up counter top was always held down with various drinks bel onging to the locals The coolers to your right are filled with all of your favorite drinks usually
