Target Acquired command moving into position I whispered into the radio as I settled into a more comfortable position My mission is simple yet tedious I am in this shit hole of a country for one reason to locate and eliminate General Chion the command and chief of one of North Vietnams most deadly platoons I settle my Remington 700 LTR Light Tactical Rifle into a more comfortable position and once again begin my wait My name is Tim Kenneth I am half Nez Perce Indian learned to track when I was six years old and have been rustling my own food since I was knee high to a grasshopper I was born and grew up on a large ranch in southern Colorado 25 years ago and am currently over two hundred miles behind North Vietnams half perceivable lines I have been in Vietnam for three years the majority of which I have spent as a Sniper I had not been here three months before my excellent marksmanship was discovered and I was given the opportunity of a promotion and a position in the United States most well known sniper division Since then I have had a total of seventy-four confirmed kills thirty-one of which at a range over three hundred yards giving me the fourth highest number of kills in a single career I am therefore the natural selection for this particular mission which I embarked on over three weeks ago I have been locating and searching every known enemy compound for my target since then This time will be different however I have confirmed his presence twice already and am waiting for my one shot one kill Today I am going to kill a man in cold blood As I wait I reflect What type of career had I gotten myself into anyways I hear that now the government has been drafting its eligible men to come over here and fight for sometime
