"You've fulfilled the assignment to create a short scary story, and you effectively build up the suspense with your narrative. One part of the story that might give a reader pause though is the description of Laura jumping out of bed and running out into the hallway when she has a loft bedroom. The word "loft" can be used to describe a wide variety of setups, many of which don't have any hallways to speak of. While you have very strong writing skills, one more edit is advised to correct a few errors with writing conventions. You use the comma appropriately and effectively numerous times throughout the story, but sometimes it's use is awkward (e.g., "I fell to my knees, and wrapped . . ."). There are also some typos such as when you write "the Mono" and capitalize the word "gasped.""
