It was verlandes idea to go to an Ethiopian restaurant I decided to go and experience the food that they serve at the restaurant since it was my first time eating Ethiopian food I wanted to know how the Ethiopians eat their food what kind of food do they eat what type of drinks are served with the meal and what kind of spices are used in their meals We went to the Nile Ethiopian Restaurant on International drive Upon entering the restaurant there was Ethiopian music playing and I was surprised to see that there were a lot of customers in the restaurant The hostess took us to our seats and we waited for thirty minutes to receive the menu twenty minutes for the waitress to take our order and another twenty minutes to receive our food The wait was long because other customers had made early reservations In my opinion I think that it should have been the hostess responsibility to let me and verlande know that we were going to wait and to be patient so the customer service wasnt great The menu had appetizers and five entres which were the Beef entres Lamb entres Chicken entres Vegetarian entres and the Seafood entres From the appetizer selection we ordered the Sambusa The sambusa is a patty filled with lentils green peppers onions and peas The appetizer was mildly spicy and it had an okay taste For the main course I had the Yebeg Tibs from the Lamb entres The meal consisted of freshly cut lamb cubes with sauted onions diced tomatoes garlic and herbed butter with a side salad Before I received my yebeg tibs entre the waitress told me and verlande that in the Ethiopian culture they do not eat with kitchen utensils instead they eat with their hands and that we are to do the same I was surprised to hear that we had to eat our food with our
